here we have a Perkins Marine Diesel engine & Borg Warner Gearbox which have both been though our workshops and tested.

This is a good running engine and gearbox, ready to go.

What was done during workshop testing?

• Removed sump cleaned out sump, cleaned and tested oil pump.
• Removed timing cover, checked timing gears, reassemble with new gasket
• Tested starter & alternator for efficiency 
• Tested injection pump for leaks and adjust injection timing as required.
• Replace thermostart pre ignition burner for new.
• Replace fuel feed pump for new
• New seals and impeller sea water pump
• Replace 2x fuel lines
• change oil and fuel filters for new
• 5 litres of new engine oil
• bench run engine to monitor oil pressure and temperature
• oil pressure was 50psi when cold and 46psi warm
• temperature stayed at a steady 76 degrees after 15 minutes
• engine was deceased prepared and sprayed silver

​please note that although we have bench tested this engine and it run lovely, it is still a second hand engine and we cannot guarantee anything other than the check points listed above which we have checked.
