This engine was laid up stored as a second hand tested backup engine for a Towboat, until recently when it was no longer required and the tow boat was sold.

Before being laid up the engine was stripped down, inspected internally, and re-assembled with new piston rings, big end bearings, new oil pump, refurbished injectors, some new gaskets and a coat of paint.

The above works were carried about 4 years ago and the engine stored ever since. We blew the dust off in September 2017 and bench tested this engine and it ran like new
