Brass Cutlass Bearings are designed to be water lubricated and are also known as Brass Cutlass Bearing or Cutless Bearings. They are installed in the stern tube, or bearing housing and support the propeller shaft. they are water lubricated to reduce friction and wear on the prop shaft.

Available in both imperial, metric or a combination of the two and in either Brass and Phenolic (which is a similar to GRP) material, our bearings are made with the finest material and undergo a thorough inspection before they leave. The bearings are fitted with with extremely tough rubber Chemical and oil resistant nitrile, which offers outstanding resistance to abrasion and wear, therefore increasing the longevity of the prop shaft
